Notes: The Mead Ranger was perhaps the most advertised bicycle ever and early ads and original
catalogs are fairly easy to find even today. I like the Viking but I wish the image
was sculped into the plate rather than painted on, like British Viking head badges. The Silver King
is another oversize and heavy plate. It didn’t really matter: even though the Silver King
was built mostly of aluminum (it had stainless-steel fenders), it was no lightweight.
